Lime Kiln Point State Park
Also known as Whale Watch Park, Lime Kiln Point State Park is a 36-acre park with an iconic lighthouse set on the west side of San Juan Island, and is considered one of the best places in the world to view whales from land.
Cattle Point Lighthouse
Cattle Point Lighthouse is set against the striking beauty of the southernmost tip of San Juan Island. Gaze out across the water at the Olympic Mountains and down the rocky coastline all the way to Vancouver Island.
South Beach
Located in the San Juan Island National Historical Park, South Beach is the longest public beach on the island, with views over the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Olympic Mountains. A wonderful place to take photos or to enjoy a brisk walk for exercise.

Pelindaba Lavender Farm
Spread over 25 beautiful acres of lavender fields with lake and Olympic Mountain views. More than 200 lavender-based botanical, culinary, therapeutic, hygiene, and pet care products are handcrafted and sold at their on-site gift shop.
Krystal Acres Alpaca Ranch
An 80 acre farm where an ever-growing herd of over 50 alpacas enjoy sunny pastures and the shade of massive 100 year oaks. Stroll around the farm, then browse an extraordinary selection of alpaca sweaters, coats, and cuddly toys in the gift shop.
Westcott Bay Shellfish Farm
See aquaculture farming in action on the beaches while shucking and slurping your freshly-caught oysters and enjoying a cold beer at picnic tables right on the water. Additional food and drinks available to purchase.
ARTS
San Juan Island Artists’ Studio Tour
A free and self-guided tour of more than a dozen working studios around the island. The artists are a group of mutually supportive San Juan Island artists who open up our personal studio spaces, often including artistic gardens, to the public for an entire weekend in June.
San Juan Islands Sculpture Park
Located at the entrance to Roche Harbor is a 19-acre outdoor sculpture park, home to more than 120 unique sculptures by Northwest artists. San Juan Islands Museum of Art is the steward of this unique piece of land that features gently rolling fields of grass cut to create natural corridors between sculptures.

Biking
San Juan Island is the place for some good intermediate cycling. There is a mix of gentle roads, some grueling hills, and of course, beautiful scenery. Bring your own or rent bikes in Friday Harbor, a short walk from the ferry.
Ziplining
San Juan Island Zip Tour has 8 zip lines and 1 suspension bridge. Their first few zip lines will start out low and simple, with guests 10 – 20 feet off the ground. But once the tour journeys deeper into the forest, you’ll start seeing longer, higher and faster lines with one even riding over a lake.

Located in downtown Friday Harbor, San Juan Island Brewing Co. is an independent, local craft brewery. Also serves wood stone-fired pizza, burgers, and other pub style food. Come enjoy a beer and some grub on their beautiful patio!
San Juan Island Distillery
Located under a mile from Roche Harbor, San Juan Island Distillery makes small batch spirits, including 12 different gins, several liqueurs, and flavored brandies, including their award-winning apple brandy. All are available for tastings.
